Progress Disclosure Toast

Confirms a transient event while keeping details available without a modal for known, unknown, and multi-stage work; it is designed to show real progress, uncertainty, cancellation, and what happens next. The toast pauses responsibly, exposes details, and moves durable history to an inbox. The progress and loading variant is specialized for estimated progress must not masquerade as measured completion. Accessibility contract

  • The primary purpose and current state remain available as text and do not depend on color, motion, pointer position, or visual geometry.
  • Every interaction has keyboard equivalence, visible focus, predictable Escape behavior where applicable, and appropriately scoped status announcements.
  • Reduced-motion, 200% zoom, long-content, narrow-container, and forced-color behavior are part of the implementation acceptance criteria.

Integration plan
